Deep Body Tallow Balm

A 6 oz tallow body balm for skin that needs more than lotion. Organic grass-fed beef tallow, organic shea butter, and organic beeswax in a rich, everyday formula — for elbows, knees, shins, hands, and anywhere that goes dry and stays dry.

This is the largest balm we make. It's built for daily use on the body, not for rationing.

Why tallow

Tallow is rendered beef fat, and it's one of the oldest moisturizers there is. Its fatty acid profile is close to what your own skin produces, which is why it absorbs the way it does instead of sitting on top like a petroleum-based lotion. It carries vitamins A, D, E, and K naturally — no synthetic vitamin blend required.

How to use

Warm a small amount between your fingers — tallow softens with body heat — and massage into clean skin. Works best on slightly damp skin straight after a shower.

Use generously on rough patches: elbows, knees, heels, shins, hands after a day outside.

This balm contains bergamot oil. Some citrus oils can increase sun sensitivity, so we'd suggest using it on skin that stays covered, or at night, rather than before a long stretch of direct sun.

Tallow is a real fat and responds to heat — it may soften in transit during warm months. Let it set at room temperature and the texture returns.
